In a phase II trial, people with several types of advanced solid cancer and high blood tumor mutation levels received nivolumab. 21.1% had a response.
“These findings provide a preliminary signal supporting the prospective evaluation of ctDNA-based bTMB selection in a tumor-agnostic setting and warrant further validation in larger, randomized trials.”
What this means. A mid-stage trial in several cancer types. Good results at this stage usually still need a larger trial before approval.
